We (Jeff and Heather
Roberts) strive for purrfection in the Singapura breed. Although
we have produced many show winners over the past 8 years, our
Singapuras are our family first. We do not cage our cats, and
they are free to roam our home and be themselves. We are
extremely health-conscious with our cats (wish we could say so for
ourselves!) so they get only high-nutrition foods and top-quality
vet service. In fact, our veterinarian has 3 of our Singapuras!
Our Breeding Goals
We strive to produce healthy kittens that strongly represent the
breed. Small size, large eyes, extreme ticking to the coat,
well-placed leg markings, and an outstanding purrsonality are the
hallmarks for the breed.
Chaparral Singapuras have excelled in promoting the breed:
-
TICA Singapura Kitten and Cat
of the Year 2004-2005
-
TICA's first Singapura
Outstanding Dam
-
TICA's first TWO Lifetime
Achievement Award Winners
-
Three generations of healthy
International Winners
Jeff and Heather are both Provisional
Allbreed judges in The International Cat Association (TICA) and adhere
to the strict Code of Ethics set forth in our association. We
genotype our cats for coat coloration (to make sure we perpetuate only
the acceptable color in the breed) and scan for HCM with a
board-certified cardiologist. All of our kittens and cats come with a
written health guarantee and are desexed before leaving for pet homes.
"Chaparral" is our TICA registered cattery name. In CFA, this cattery
name was already taken, so we chose the name "Geomys." Geomys means
"earth mouse" in Latin. When Singapuras are born, they look like
little earth-colored mice.
*Chaparral Singapuras is a TICA-certified Outstanding Cattery
located in Northern California. We do offer domestic and international
shipping, the payments through PayPal.
